SwornIn

A commitment app, not a habit tracker

Make a promise. Keep your word.

Swear a promise with a deadline, choose the apps you're willing to lose if you break it, and sign your name to it. Your phone enforces the consequence automatically — even if SwornIn is closed when the deadline passes.

How it works

01

Make a promise

One-time, daily, or weekly — "Read 20 pages, every day before 9 PM."

02

Choose what you'll lose

Pick the apps that get locked if you fail — Apple's own Screen Time picker on iOS, an app list on Android.

03

Sign the contract

Name, date, a finger-drawn signature, and a consequences disclosure you have to actually read and accept.

04

Keep it, or pay the price

A deliberate press-and-hold disarms the block before the deadline. Missing it triggers the block automatically — there's no early unlock, not by you, not by us.

The strike ladder

First

Your chosen apps lock for 24 hours.

Second

48 hours.

Third

No app block — SwornIn itself locks. The paywall is the app, until you pay to reset.

The first reset is $2, then $4, then $8 — each paid reset doubles the next one's price. Your lifetime record of broken promises is permanent — it survives deleting your data, deleting the app, and reinstalling. Paying buys a future, never a past.

The final consequence

You couldn't keep it. So we will.

Fail every reset — all ten — and break your word one more time, and SwornIn makes an offer no other app would dare: tell us where, anywhere in the world, and we'll be there. Not a chatbot. Not a coupon. The person who built this app, keeping the promise you couldn't.

A real, good-faith commitment — see our Terms for the details.

Built for one thing

A real, OS-level block

The block is armed the moment you swear — Apple Screen Time on iOS, a native Android module — not a reminder you can swipe away.

SwornIn never sees your apps on iOS

You choose apps through Apple's own picker. SwornIn only ever receives an anonymous token — never the app's name or icon.

No paying your way out of a promise

Once a block starts, there's no early unlock and no skip. The only thing money buys is a reset after SwornIn itself has locked.

Runs entirely on your phone

No account, no server, nothing leaves your device. SwornIn doesn't know what you're avoiding — only whether you kept your word.

Make fewer promises. Keep every one.
